Can DPT unfreeze my card for me?
DPT cannot unfreeze your card on your behalf. You can unfreeze your card yourself directly in the DPT app at any time. Go to the Card section, select your frozen card, and tap unfreeze.
Can I get a card without completing KYC?
No. KYC verification is required before you can apply for any DPT card. Completing KYC unlocks the full features of DPT, including card application.
Why did my card get locked?
Your card may be temporarily locked if you entered your CVV, expiry date, or PIN incorrectly 3 times. The lock will automatically lift after 24 hours. No action is needed on your part.
This temporary lock is different from freezing your card. Freezing is something you do manually in the DPT app.
Can I get both a virtual and physical card?
Yes. You can have both a virtual card and a physical card on the same account. Both cards are linked to the same balance.
Which DPT card is right for me?
DPT offers two card tiers:
- Oxygen (Visa Platinum) — everyday card. Global Visa acceptance, instant digital issuance, up to $500,000 USD travel accident insurance with delay / lost-baggage / cancellation coverage, Visa Luxury Hotel Collection benefits, and automatic upgrade to Obsidian for qualifying top spenders.
- Obsidian (Visa Infinite) — invite-only. Up to $1,500,000 USD travel accident insurance, Global Priority Pass plus Visa Infinite Lounges, 24/7 global concierge, invite-only Visa Infinite partner access, and a dedicated personal lifestyle manager.
You can also choose between a virtual card ($10 USD fee, issued immediately) and a physical card ($50 USD fee, shipped in 7–14 business days).
Should I get a virtual or physical card?
You can choose between a virtual card or a physical card depending on how you want to spend:
- Virtual card ($10 USD application fee): issued immediately after KYC approval. Great for online purchases and for Apple Pay / Google Pay. Ready to use within minutes.
- Physical card ($50 USD application fee): shipped to your address (7–14 business days) and activated in the app. Needed for in-store payments and ATM withdrawals where contactless is not supported.
Upon activation of either card you receive a $5 spending credit. The credit is non-withdrawable.
How do I check my account balance?
You can check your DPT balance on the home screen of the DPT app. Your current balance is displayed at the top of the screen.
Your account balance and your card balance are the same. Once your deposit arrives in your DPT account, the funds are automatically available for card spending — there is no separate card top-up step.
How do I freeze my card?
You can temporarily freeze your card directly in the DPT app at any time. This is useful if you have lost your card or suspect unauthorised use.
While your card is frozen, no transactions will be processed. You can unfreeze it at any time from the app.
Freezing is different from locking. Locking is triggered automatically by the system when you enter your CVV, expiry date, or PIN incorrectly 3 times; the lock lifts automatically after 24 hours.
How do I load money onto my DPT card?
You do not need to load money onto your DPT card separately. Once your deposit arrives in your DPT account, the funds are automatically available for card spending.
There is no need to manually transfer or top up from your balance to your card. You can start using your card right away after your deposit is confirmed.
To get funds into your account, deposit USDC or USDT on Ethereum, Polygon, Tron, or Solana.
What is the $5 spending credit?
When you activate your DPT card (virtual or physical), you receive a $5 USD spending credit. This credit can be used for any purchase at a Visa-accepting merchant.
The $5 credit is non-withdrawable. It can only be used for card transactions.
Can I cancel my card?
Please ensure your card balance is zero before requesting card cancellation.
Can I use my DPT card at an ATM without a physical card?
Yes. If you have a virtual DPT card added to Apple Pay or Google Pay, you can use it at ATMs that support NFC contactless withdrawals. Hold your phone near the NFC reader on the ATM to initiate the withdrawal.
Not all ATMs support NFC. If the ATM does not have an NFC reader, you will need a physical card.
How long does it take to get a physical card?
After you apply for a physical card and pay the $50 USD application fee, your card will be shipped to the address you provided. Delivery typically takes 7 to 14 business days.
After receiving your card, you will need to activate it in the DPT app before you can use it.
What is the difference between freezing and locking a card?
Freezing and locking are two different states:
Freezing is something you do manually in the DPT app. You can freeze your card at any time to temporarily stop all transactions. You can unfreeze it whenever you want.
Locking is triggered automatically by the system when you enter your CVV, expiry date, or PIN incorrectly 3 times. The lock lasts for 24 hours and then lifts automatically. No action is needed on your part.
In both cases, no transactions will be processed while the card is frozen or locked.
Can I withdraw cash from an ATM?
Yes. Both physical and virtual DPT cards support ATM cash withdrawals.
Physical card: Insert or tap your card at any ATM displaying the Visa logo.
Virtual card: You can withdraw cash at ATMs that support NFC contactless payments (via Apple Pay or Google Pay).
ATM withdrawal fee: 2% of the withdrawal amount. An additional FX surcharge of 0% to 1.75% may apply for non-USD currencies. ATM operators may also charge their own fees.
ATM limits: Maximum $250 USD per transaction. Maximum 3 withdrawals per day. Maximum $750 USD per day. Both approved and declined attempts count toward the daily limit.
Can I change the currency of my DPT card?
No. Your DPT card operates in USD. All transactions in other currencies are automatically converted at the time of purchase with a 2% FX fee.
Can I have more than one DPT card?
You can have both a virtual card and a physical card on the same account. Both cards are linked to the same balance.
How do I see my card number and CVV?
You can view your card number, expiry date, and CVV in the DPT app.
- Open the DPT app
- Go to the Card section
- Your card details will be displayed. You may need to tap on the card or a "Show Details" button to reveal the full number and CVV.
For security reasons, never share your card number, CVV, or expiry date with anyone. DPT will never ask you for these details.
What currency is my DPT card in?
Your DPT card balance is in USD. All deposits (USDC, USDT) are converted to USD and held as your card balance.
When you spend in USD, there is no transaction fee. When you spend in any other currency, a 2% FX fee applies.
What happens if my DPT card expires?
When your card approaches its expiry date, a replacement card will be issued. The details of the replacement process will be communicated to you through the app or via email.
You can check your card's expiry date in the DPT app under the Card section.
Can I give my DPT card to someone else to use?
No. Your DPT card is linked to your identity and is for your personal use only. Sharing your card with others is not permitted under the terms of service.
If someone else needs a DPT card, they should create their own account and apply for their own card.
Can I use my DPT card for online shopping?
Yes. Your DPT card works for online purchases at any website or app that accepts Visa. Simply enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV at checkout.
You can find your card details in the DPT app under the Card section.
Can I pay for subscriptions with my DPT card?
Yes. You can use your DPT card to pay for recurring subscriptions such as Netflix, Spotify, Amazon Prime, and other subscription services.
Make sure your card has sufficient balance before the subscription renewal date. If your balance is insufficient at the time of renewal, the transaction will be declined.
Can I use my DPT card at any store?
Yes. Your DPT card is a Visa card and is accepted at any merchant worldwide that accepts Visa. This includes online stores, physical shops, restaurants, and any other Visa-accepting merchant.

Can I use my DPT card while traveling abroad?
Yes. Your DPT card works internationally at any Visa-accepting merchant. You can use it for in-store purchases, online payments, and ATM withdrawals while traveling.
If you spend in a non-USD currency, a 2% FX fee applies. For ATM withdrawals abroad, a 2% withdrawal fee applies, and an additional FX surcharge of 0% to 1.75% may apply depending on the location and currency.
How do I activate my physical card?
After your physical card is delivered, you need to activate it in the DPT app before you can use it.
- Open the DPT app
- Go to the Card section
- Select your physical card
- Tap "Activate Card" and follow the on-screen instructions
After activation, your physical card is ready for in-store payments, online purchases, and ATM withdrawals.
Can I use my DPT card to buy cryptocurrency?
No. DPT cards cannot be used to purchase or trade digital currencies. This is a restricted transaction type under DPT's card usage policy.
If you attempt to use your DPT card for cryptocurrency purchases, the transaction will be declined.

My card was lost or stolen
If your card has been lost or stolen, take these steps immediately:
- Open the DPT app and freeze your card to prevent unauthorized transactions.
- Review your recent transaction history for any charges you do not recognize.
- If you see unauthorized charges, report them to our support team immediately.
- Request a replacement card in the app. Replacement cards cost $10 USD.
While your card is frozen, no transactions will be processed. You can unfreeze it at any time from the app if you recover your card.
How do I add my DPT card to Google Pay?
DPT Visa cards support Google Pay. To add your card:
- Open the Google Pay app on your device
- Tap "Add to Wallet" then select "Payment card"
- Choose "New credit or debit card"
- Enter your DPT card details manually or scan your physical card
- Enter the billing name and address matching your DPT account
- Complete verification via SMS, email, or app approval
If you are unable to add your card, please ensure your card is activated and not frozen in the DPT app.
How do I apply for a DPT card?
After completing KYC verification, you can apply for a DPT card directly in the app.
Virtual Card: Select "Apply for Virtual Card" in the app. The virtual card is issued immediately after KYC approval. You can start using it right away for online purchases and with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Application fee: $10 USD.
Physical Card: Select "Apply for Physical Card" in the app. Submit your shipping address, pay the $50 USD application fee, and wait for delivery (7 to 14 business days). After receiving the card, activate it in the app before use.
Upon activation of either card, you will receive a $5 spending credit that can be used anywhere the card is accepted. The credit is non-withdrawable.
Adding your DPT card to Apple Pay
DPT Visa cards support Apple Pay. To add your card, open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap the + button, and follow the instructions to enter your card details.
If you are unable to add your DPT card to Apple Pay, this may be due to one of the following reasons:
- Apple Pay is not yet available in your country or region. Apple Pay availability is managed by Apple and its banking partners, and is currently supported in select countries. DPT is unable to control or override this restriction. For the latest list of supported countries, please refer to Apple's official page: https://support.apple.com/102775
- Your card has not been activated. Please ensure your DPT card is activated in the DPT app before attempting to add it to Apple Pay.
- Your card is currently frozen or locked. Please check your card status in the DPT app.
- A temporary technical issue may be preventing the card from being added. Please try again after a few minutes.

Merchant Category Restrictions
DPT cards are accepted at Visa merchants worldwide. However, certain merchant categories are restricted.
The following purchase types are not permitted on DPT cards: purchase or trade of digital currencies, drug-related purchases (including marijuana, cannabis, CBD, and black-market items), payments on dark web marketplaces or for hacking and cybercrime services, internet pharmacies that are unlicensed or operate outside regulated jurisdictions, firearms, ammunition, or explosives (corporate), hazardous materials and chemicals without proper regulatory clearance, escort services or similar platforms, unlicensed or illegal auction sites, unregulated lending or payday loan services, data brokerage services (especially involving unauthorized personal data), and purchase or trade of endangered species or wildlife products.
Some merchants may also decline DPT cards based on their own risk controls or payment rules. If your card is declined at a specific merchant, this may be the reason.

Card Temporarily Locked
If you enter your CVV, expiry date, or PIN incorrectly 3 times, your card will be temporarily locked. The lock will automatically lift after 24 hours. No action is needed on your part.
Please note that a temporary lock is different from freezing your card. Freezing is something you do manually in the DPT app. A temporary lock is triggered automatically by the system for security purposes.
Your account and other cards are not affected during a card lock.

Transaction Declined Troubleshooting
If your card transaction was declined, here are the most common reasons:
Insufficient balance: your card balance was not enough to cover the transaction. You will receive an email and a push notification when this happens.
Card limit exceeded: the transaction exceeded your card's spending limit. You will receive an email and a push notification when this happens. You can adjust your spending limits in the app.
Card is frozen: your card may be temporarily frozen. You can check and unfreeze your card in the app.
Merchant type restricted: certain merchant categories are restricted on DPT cards. Please refer to the prohibited purchase types listed in our "Supported Countries, Currency Coverage, and Prohibited Jurisdictions" article for the full list of restricted categories.

Both tiers are available as:
- Virtual Card: instant digital card for online purchases and Apple Pay / Google Pay use, issued immediately after KYC approval. Application fee is 10 USD.
- Physical Card: a Visa card shipped to your address. The process is: apply in the app, submit your shipping address, pay the application fee, wait for delivery (7 to 14 business days), activate the card in the app, then start using it. Application fee is 50 USD. Replacement cards cost 10 USD.
Both cards can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, including online, in-store, and at merchants worldwide.
