ONyc is issued by On Re SAC Ltd. It earns yield from reinsurance premiums and from the assets that back it. ONyc runs on the Solana blockchain.

On Re SAC Ltd. is authorised and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority (registration number 55347). It holds:
- a Class F licence under Bermuda’s Digital Asset Business Act 2018, and
- a Class IIGB licence under Bermuda’s Insurance Act 1978.
